Jala Diving Center

Jala ASD operates across two unique locations in Sicily, offering divers access to some of the region's most significant underwater landscapes. One site is positioned directly in front of the faraglioni of Acitrezza and the Norman castle of Aci Castello, placing you right within the heart of the 'Isole Ciclopi' Marine Protected Area (AMP).

The second location is situated within the Tonnara di Trabia hotel, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and beautiful beaches. This dual presence allows for a variety of diving environments, from the rugged volcanic structures of the Ciclopi islands to the more sheltered coastal stretches of Trabia.

The centre is defined by a strong commitment to marine ecology and scientific awareness. They work in collaboration with organisations such as WWF S.U.B, Marevivo, and Blue Oceans to promote the protection of the Mediterranean. As a registered 'Plastic Free' entity with the Ministry of the Environment, they have eliminated single-use plastics from their operations.

Beyond technical instruction, the team focuses on social responsibility and inclusion. They organise sporting events to raise funds for various associations and work to make water sports more accessible to people with disabilities. The atmosphere is built around shared experience and the promotion of well-being through the connection between sport and nature.

The centre offers a comprehensive range of training, beginning with basic scuba diving through to more advanced certifications. Their curriculum includes Subacquea (scuba) training, as well as specialised courses in Freediving, Navigation, and Cartography.

For those looking to expand their skill set beyond standard diving, they also provide instruction in canoeing and even mermaid swimming. The training programmes are designed to integrate physical movement with an understanding of the marine environment.
