Diving Center Saracen

Established in 2000 by five brothers, Diving Center Saracen has grown into a cornerstone of the Sicilian diving community. The centre operates through three specialised bases, providing different environments depending on your objectives, from the sheltered waters of Isola delle Femmine to the volcanic landscapes of the Aeolian Islands.

The Isola delle Femmine base serves as a primary hub, located just a few kilometres from Palermo and a short distance from Falcone-Borsellino airport. This location allows for easy access to the marine reserve of Capo Gallo and the waters surrounding the Gulf of Palermo, offering a variety of reef and wall environments.

The centre is run by a professional team of four instructors, maintaining a family-oriented atmosphere built on over two decades of experience. As an SSI affiliated centre, they focus heavily on structured progression, from initial certifications through to advanced technical disciplines.

Their teaching approach covers a broad spectrum of expertise, including specialised training in wreck diving, night diving, and limited visibility environments. For those looking to move into professional roles, they offer Dive Guide and Training Specialist pathways.

As an SSI training centre, the curriculum ranges from the initial Open Water Diver course to highly technical specialisations. Divers can progress through advanced stages including Wreck Diving, Night & Limited Visibility, and Equipment Techniques.

For those pursuing technical diving, the centre offers Extended Range training. The breadth of their programme ensures that whether you are a beginner or an experienced diver looking to master advanced wreck or technical skills, there is a structured pathway available.

The Isola delle Femmine base is a substantial 300 m² facility designed for serious divers. It includes a dedicated Mares showroom and a Mares Lab service centre, making it a practical choice for those needing equipment maintenance or technical support. The site is equipped with a classroom for theory work, changing rooms, and showers.

For gas management, the centre operates a dedicated recharge station providing air, Nitrox, helium, and oxygen. This infrastructure supports both recreational divers using Nitrox and technical divers requiring helium for deeper profiles.
