Scuba Dive Malta

Located in the northern part of the Maltese islands, Scuba Dive Malta operates from Mellieha, just a short drive from the Cirkewwa Marine Park. The centre is ideally positioned to access the diverse underwater topography of the north, from deep walls to complex wreck sites.

With over 20 years of established presence in the area, the centre focuses on a personalised approach to diving. They specialise in shore-based diving and guided excursions that allow you to explore the Mediterranean's clear waters at a relaxed pace.

The centre is run by Lee and Paul, who bring a combined 35 years of experience to the operation. Lee is a PADI IDC Staff instructor and an SSI Assistant Instructor Trainer, while Paul serves as an instructor and guide. This level of expertise ensures that both recreational divers and those pursuing professional qualifications receive high-calibre instruction.

Safety and attention to detail are central to their operation. The team maintains a strict ratio of maximum four divers per guide for guided dives, and a maximum of two students per instructor during training courses. This ensures you receive the necessary supervision whether you are completing your first certification or advancing through technical modules.

As a family-run business, the atmosphere is professional yet personal. The staff handles all equipment preparation and cleaning daily, ensuring that your kit is ready for every morning departure.

Scuba Dive Malta offers an extensive catalogue of training through both PADI and SSI affiliations. For beginners, the journey starts with Discover Scuba Diving or the Scuba Diver course, progressing through to PADI Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

Experienced divers can specialise through various modules, including PADI Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, and Nitriox Diver. The centre also provides specialised training in Perfect Buoyancy, Marine Ecology, and Computer Diving. For those looking to move into professional or technical territory, they offer Rescue Diver, Specialty Diver, and Technical Diving courses.

The centre provides full equipment hire for divers who do not wish to travel with their own kit. This includes regulators, BCDs, wetsuits, fins, and masks. For those who do bring their own equipment, a daily reduction is available.

Nitrox is available on-site for divers looking to extend their no-decompression limits. The centre also offers the option to use 15-litre cylinders or dive computers for those requiring specific configurations or technical precision during their dives.

Diving in Malta is possible year-round due to the Mediterranean climate. The northern sites are accessible for shore diving, though you should always be prepared for local conditions.

All dives conducted below 12 metres require the use of a dive computer. The centre's recreational dives are limited to a maximum depth of 40 metres and a maximum duration of 60 minutes per dive.
