Lagoon Dive Center

Located in Gzira, Lagoon Dive Center has been a fixture in the Maltese diving scene since 2005. They provide access to the diverse underwater landscapes of Malta, Gozo, and Comino, covering everything from shallow reef flats to deep technical sites.

You can choose between coastal diving or boat-based excursions to reach the most iconic locations in the archipelago. Whether you are looking to explore a wreck or navigate through a series of swim-throughs, the centre is positioned to cover the region's most varied topography.

The centre provides a range of instruction and guiding services, with staff capable of communicating in English and Hungarian. This makes the training environment accessible for a variety of international divers.

Instruction is available for all levels, from those taking their first test dive to those pursuing advanced certifications. The centre covers a broad curriculum including freediving, night diving, and specialized wreck and deep diving courses.

The training programme is comprehensive, ranging from basic diving courses for beginners to advanced certifications. You can work towards specific skills through the Advanced diving course, Night diving course, or Wreck diving course.

For those looking to increase their depth limits and decompression safety, the centre offers Nitrox and Deep diving courses. They also facilitate specialized training for technical diving and Freediving.

For those who prefer to use their own kit, the centre offers a full range of equipment for rent, including fins, masks, and wetsuits. They also have a selection of TUSA equipment available for sale.

Nitrox is available on-site to extend your bottom time during dives. The facility is equipped to handle various diving needs, ensuring you have the necessary cylinders and kit for your planned excursions.

The reefs and walls of the area are home to a variety of large species, including tuna, barracuda, and groupers. You may also encounter parrotfish, medusas, and various species of crabs.

The seabed and rocky structures are rich with fixed life, including colourful corals and various sponges. Sea urchins and starfish are also frequently observed across the different sites.

Macro and smaller lifeforms include octopuses, eels, and scorpionfish. You might also spot rays or various species of crabs, particularly during night dives.

Conditions can vary depending on the site, with some locations such as Wied iz Zurrieq being subject to currents. In Gozo, certain sites like Reqqa Point can be affected by swell, which may make diving more challenging.

Some sites, such as Marfa, are accessible via shallow lagoons, while others require boat access to reach the vertical walls and caves.
