That means you can finish a day in the water, shower, eat without turning the evening into a logistical exercise, and still wander out for a drink if the mood takes you.

The atmosphere sits between a full-service city hotel and a Mediterranean resort. Air conditioning, balconies, soundproof rooms, a rooftop pool and a spa with an indoor pool give you plenty of ways to slow the pace. Couples have the easier brief here, but family rooms, a children’s pool and a child-friendly buffet also make the hotel workable when the dive trip includes younger company.

Travelling with family or friends, the rooms with two queen beds are the practical decision. They accommodate up to four people and give everyone a more sensible sleeping arrangement than trying to turn a romantic king room into a small expedition camp. The Executive Suite, Mediterranean Sea Front Suite and the larger sea-view options are the ones to consider when separate living space matters, while M Club Lounge access is attached to selected rooms and suites.
