Atlantis Dive Center

JUST DIVE, formerly known as Lobster Pot, is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort situated at 37 Seafarers Way in George Town. The centre is positioned just a short walk from the cruise ship terminals and offers easy access to the premier dive sites of Grand Cayman.

Whether you are looking to complete your initial certifications or advance through professional PADI courses, the centre provides a structured and reliable environment. With morning and afternoon boat trips, you can choose a schedule that fits your time on the island while exploring the famous Cayman wall and local wrecks.

The team is composed of five experienced professionals, including a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, and several other highly qualified instructors. This depth of expertise ensures that both recreational divers and those pursuing professional paths, such as the Divemaster course, receive high-level guidance.

Instruction is conducted in English, covering everything from Discover Scuba Diving for beginners to the full range of PADI specialties. The staff manages small groups to maintain a personalised service, ensuring safety and education remain the priorities on every trip.

The centre provides a complete catalogue of PADI courses, starting with Discover Scuba Diving and progressing through Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver. For those looking to refine their skills, specialties such as Peak Performance Buoyancy, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, and Night Diver are available.

Professional training is a core component of the centre, offering the full path from Rescue Diver and Divemaster through to the Instructor Development Course (IDC). The centre also facilitates PADI eLearning, allowing you to complete your theory before arriving on the island.

The centre operates Larry, a 26-foot custom-designed Dusky boat powered by an outboard motor. Designed to carry up to 7 divers, the vessel is ideal for maintaining small group sizes and providing a more intimate experience on the water.

On board, you will find chilled drinking water and dive snacks to keep you hydrated and energised between dives. The boat is equipped to handle morning and afternoon trips, including night dives, and provides Nitrox for those who require it.

The dive shop offers a full range of rental equipment, including regulators, BCDs, and wetsuits. If you only require specific items, you can hire masks, snorkels, and fins separately. For those staying for multiple days, a discount is available on non-boat equipment rentals exceeding 5 days.

For multi-day divers, the crew provides a service to rinse and store your personal kit. Nitrox is available on-site, with options for single or double cylinder fills.

The reefs around George Town are vibrant, featuring extensive colonies of corals and sponges. You will often see schools of horse-eye jacks and Great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda) cruising through the water, alongside various tropical fish.

On the sandy bottom and around the wrecks, garden eels inhabit the substrate, and you may encounter stingrays or Southern stingray (Hypanus americanus). The area is also known for sightings of Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) and Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas).

Macro life and smaller residents include Green moray (Gymnothorax funebris) and various sponges that add texture to the reef structure.

Diving in this area is characterised by calm seas and virtually no current, which makes it an excellent location for training and relaxed exploration. The water temperature remains steady throughout the year.

Access to the sites is consistent, with the shallow lagoon near the centre providing a protected environment for initial open water training dives.
