Living The Dream Divers

Located in George Town, just below the Lobster Pot restaurant, Living The Dream Divers has been operating for over 20 years. This PADI 5 Star IDC Resort is designed for divers who value a relaxed, unhurried approach to their underwater excursions.

The centre is built around a bespoke dive resort, allowing you to transition seamlessly from the reef to a place to unwind. With a focus on small groups and high-quality service, the operation is geared towards providing a professional experience for both recreational and training divers.

As a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort, the centre is a hub for both recreational diving and professional training. The team includes highly qualified Master Instructors capable of guiding you through everything from your first breaths underwater to advanced professional certifications.

Instruction is conducted in English, and the centre offers a wide range of courses including the PADI Instructor Training Course (IDC). For those looking to enhance their safety skills, DAN courses are also available on-site.

The training programme covers the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving and progress through the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses.

For more experienced divers, the centre offers Enriched Air (Nitrox), Rescue Diver, and specialized training such as Turtle Aware. Professional aspirants can undertake the PADI Instructor Training Course (IDC) to begin their career in the industry.

The fleet consists of three custom Newton boats, including Dream Big, Our Dream Boat, and Our Boat II. These vessels are powered by John Deere 6081 AFM 375HP and 6086 AFM 375HP engines, ensuring reliable transit to the various wall and wreck sites.

Each boat carries between 6 and 9 divers, keeping groups intimate and manageable. On board, you will find a fully enclosed cabin, courtesy seating for your equipment, and a dedicated rinsing tank. For those looking to capture the marine life, the boats are equipped with camera tables, and SeaLife 200HD underwater cameras are available for hire.

The centre provides full equipment hire for divers who prefer not to travel with their own kit. On-site facilities include a dedicated rinsing area and a shop for your diving needs.

For gas management, Nitrox is available for all divers. Safety is a priority, with oxygen support available on-site to manage any dive-related incidents.

The reefs are home to a variety of large marine life, including turtles and moray eels. During October, you may have the chance to encounter tiger sharks.

On the walls and reef flats, you will find a diverse array of corals and sponges that provide a home for many species. The area is also known for its resident stingrays, particularly at the protected Stingray City site.

Diving in Grand Cayman is influenced by local weather patterns, particularly when accessing the North Wall. Most sites are highly accessible, though certain locations may depend on sea conditions.

Transfer services are provided along Seven Mile Beach and West Bay Road, ensuring easy access to the centre for those staying in these areas.
