Boucaniers Diving is situated in the southern reaches of Martinique, positioned directly on the beach at the Club Med des Boucaniers in Sainte-Anne. Established in 2020, the centre has quickly become a local fixture for those looking to explore the diverse marine topography of the Caribbean.

From shallow reef flats and coral plateaus to dramatic vertical walls, the area offers a wide variety of environments. The centre operates with a focus on professional standards and environmental responsibility, utilising ecological moorings and partnering with local marine protection networks like the Réseau Tortues Marines de Martinique.

The team is composed of four professional instructors, including state-qualified DEJEPS instructors. They are certified through PADI, SSI, and CMAS, as well as the French FFESSM system, ensuring they can support divers from various training backgrounds.

Instruction is provided in both French and English, making the centre accessible to international divers. The staff manages a range of programmes, from introductory discovery dives to structured certification courses for both adults and children.

The centre offers a comprehensive curriculum covering both PADI and FFESSM pathways. Beginners can start with the PADI Scuba Diver or the FFESSM Niveau 1 (PE20) courses, while those looking to advance can work through Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, and higher FFESSM levels such as Niveau 2, PE40, or PA20.

The centre operates a 13-metre catamaran designed to carry up to 38 divers. The vessel is spacious and features dedicated storage areas, with an upper deck that offers excellent views during the transit to dive sites.

This catamaran is used for various trip types, including morning and afternoon explorations, as well as night dives. It provides a stable platform for accessing the diverse sites of the Grand Sud, from the sandy cayes to the deeper reef walls.

For those needing to hire kit, the centre provides complete sets including regulators with an octopus, 4mm shorty wetsuits, BCDs, fins, and masks. They use Aqualung equipment, which is regularly renewed to ensure reliability.

Cylinders are aluminium, providing improved buoyancy and comfort during your dives. The centre is also equipped to handle various training requirements, providing the necessary pedagogical tools for PADI and FFESSM courses.

The reefs are home to a steady population of large marine life, including Green sea turtles, Eagle rays, and various species of Angelfish. You may also encounter Spiny lobsters and large cleaning shrimp patrolling the reef structures.
