O'Tgr

Located in Koungou, O'TGR provides access to what is widely considered one of the most beautiful lagoons in the Indian Ocean. The marine landscape here is defined by extensive reef flats, dramatic drop-offs, and various islets that create a diverse range of diving environments.

Departing from the Port de Mamoudzou, the centre specialises in exploring the unique topography of the Mayotte lagoon. Whether you are looking to explore deep walls, search for wrecks, or simply drift along the reef, the local geography offers a high degree of variety for every type of diver.

The centre is affiliated with the FFESSM and is run by state-qualified instructors. These professionals guide divers through both recreational explorations and formal training programmes, ensuring a high standard of safety and instruction.

The guiding philosophy focuses on an eco-responsible approach to diving in this sensitive lagoon environment. For guided dives, the centre maintains a ratio of four divers per guide, allowing for close supervision and a more personal experience on the water.

O'TGR provides a comprehensive range of FFESSM training, spanning from Niveau 1 through to Niveau 3. They also offer specific technical training such as PE12, PE20, PE40, PA20, PA60, and the RIFAP qualification.

Beyond scuba diving, the centre offers boat handling certifications, including Permis Côtier, Permis Hauturier, and Permis Fluvial. This makes it a versatile location for those looking to combine diving with maritime skills.

The AQUA DIVE is the centre's dedicated dive boat, capable of carrying up to 18 people. It is equipped with two benches, two tables, and a sunshade to provide comfort during excursions.

Onboard, you will find a freshwater shower with a 20-litre capacity for rinsing off after a dive. The boat is used for various trip types, including half-day outings, full-day excursions, and night dives, with meals, snacks, and refreshments provided during the trips.

For those not bringing their own kit, the centre offers a selection of rental equipment including fins, masks, BCDs (stab jackets), and regulators. Cylinders are also available for hire.

Note that for autonomous dives, there is a specific charge for the use of a dive computer.

The lagoon is home to a variety of large pelagics and curious marine life. You can regularly encounter sharks and turtles while exploring the reefs and drop-offs.

The reef is populated by a wide array of colourful and curious fish, making every dive an opportunity for high-quality visual encounters within the warm, clear waters.
