Foka Diving Center

Located on the island of Pag in Croatia, Foka Diving Center has been a fixture of the local diving community since 2002. The centre operates from two distinct bases: one at Camping Village Šimuni and another at Camp Straško near Novalja. This dual presence allows for a wide variety of diving environments, ranging from easy shore entries to more technical offshore sites.

The Adriatic coastline around Pag offers a compelling mix of topography, from expansive reef flats to dramatic vertical drops. Whether you are looking to complete your initial certification or seeking more advanced underwater exploration, the centre's long-standing presence in the region provides a reliable foundation for your diving.

The team at Foka consists of two experienced instructors with over two decades of diving expertise. They manage training and excursions from both the Šimuni and Straško locations, ensuring a consistent standard of instruction across the different sites.

Environmental stewardship is a core part of their identity. The centre is actively involved in marine conservation through initiatives such as the 'Seahorse Story' project and the 'Recycled Reef' programme, allowing divers to contribute to the protection of the local ecosystem.

Foka Diving Center is an affiliated NAUI training centre, offering a comprehensive progression of courses. Beginners can start with Skin Diver and Open Water Scuba Diver certifications, while those looking to advance can pursue Advanced Scuba Diver, Master Diver, and Divemaster levels.

The instructor training programme is also available, covering Assistant Course Instructor and full Instructor training. This structured approach ensures that divers can follow a clear professional pathway within the NAUI system.

The centre provides secure parking for clients and is conveniently located within established camping facilities at Šimuni and Straško. This setup allows for easy access to the shore for both training and recreational dives.

For those not travelling with their own kit, equipment hire is available. The centre is also equipped to handle various payment methods, including all major credit cards, with options for single or multiple instalments.

The marine life around Pag is defined by its rich Mediterranean habitats. In the seagrass meadows of the Straško area, you will find various coastal fish and yellow and brown sponges, alongside the more elusive seahorse.

For those diving the deeper walls of Maun, the scenery is dominated by fixed life, specifically red gorgonians and red coral. These structures provide a complex habitat for a variety of fish species that inhabit the crevices and caves along the drop-off.

Macro life is a highlight of the local shore sites, where divers can observe seahorses and various sponge species. The protected nature of the camping areas helps maintain a healthy population of fish and other small marine organisms.
