Family Hotel Pagus - All Inclusive

You are choosing a four-star, all-inclusive hotel on the seafront in Pag, with the historic town nearby and a substantial wellness offer built into the property. The setting works particularly well if your ideal day ends with a swim, a proper meal and a balcony rather than a hunt for somewhere still serving food.

The hotel’s website is available in English, German, Italian and Slovenian, which makes the property used to serving an international clientele. Families are clearly part of the picture: connected rooms, a kids’ club, a playroom and organised activities for children sit alongside the adult spa and fitness facilities. It is not trying to be a minimalist hideaway; it is a practical coastal base with plenty happening under one roof.

You are in Pag, Croatia, at Ante Starčevića 1, with the hotel directly on a pebble beach. Pagus Beach is on the doorstep, while Basaca Beach is roughly 0.4 miles away and Prosika Beach about 0.6 miles away. Tartanovo Beach is around 1.7 miles off if you fancy changing the view.

The historic centre of Pag is immediately nearby. That puts the Salt Museum and traditional lace gallery within easy reach when you want something cultural between dives, meals or naps. A few places to eat and drink are also close: Konoba Barcarola is roughly 300 feet away, and Vanga is about 0.4 miles from the hotel.

Zadar Airport is about 26 miles away by direct distance, or roughly 32 miles by road. Novalja and Zrće Beach are around 17 miles away, so the livelier end of the island is available for a day out without being the backdrop to every evening.

Every room gives you a balcony and either a sea view or a park view, so you can choose between looking towards Pag Bay and keeping the outlook greener and quieter. Air conditioning matters here when the room has had a full day of sun and salt in the background, while soundproofing and soundproof rooms are useful details when you are aiming for an early night rather than joining the evening programme.

For two, a Superior Room with Sea View gives you the straightforward version of the stay: a king-size bed, a sofa bed, balcony and private bathroom with a bath. The Standard Room with Park View keeps the same general sleeping arrangement but trades the sea for the park, which may suit you if the balcony is for sitting rather than staring at the water.

Families have more sensible options than simply squeezing extra beds into one room. The connected family rooms link two rooms and work for groups of four or six, with sea-view versions available. Every room has satellite television, a wardrobe, a desk and a private bathroom with towels, toiletries and a hairdryer. A wheelchair-accessible double room is also available, with a lift serving upper floors.

The all-inclusive format is built around three buffet meals, so you can return from the water and eat without turning dinner into a second logistical exercise. Pool use is unlimited, with loungers available subject to availability.

The practical caveat is worth keeping in view: the Wellness & Spa Centre is not operating under the stated epidemiological measures, although various massages remain available. Those include full-body, back, neck, head and foot massages, along with body treatments, facials, manicures and pedicures. In other words, the massage option survives even when the full spa programme does not.

Away from the water and treatment rooms, you have a garden, sun terrace, shared lounge, evening entertainment and live sport broadcasts. Boat trips, island outings, waterfall visits, market trips and snorkelling excursions can be arranged, while bicycle hire, cycling and a tennis court are available off site. Children have a kids’ club, playroom, games room, playground and animation programme, which should keep family members occupied while you recover in peace.

Check-in runs from 15:00 to midnight and check-out is by 10:00. The front desk is open around the clock, with express check-in and check-out, luggage storage and a tour desk available when the journey does not quite follow the plan. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.

Private parking is available on site, although spaces cannot be reserved. An airport shuttle is available from Zadar Airport; you can arrange a private or shared transfer with the hotel. Car hire is also available, which is useful for reaching beaches and places beyond Pag town.
