Blue Lagoon diving is one of the oldest established dive centres in Istria, having operated in Poreč for over five decades. Situated within the Plava Laguna Resort on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula, it serves as a central hub for diving in the northern Adriatic.

The centre provides access to a variety of environments, from shallow coastal waters to deeper offshore sites. Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or explore local wrecks, the centre's long-standing presence in the region provides a reliable foundation for your diving.

As an authorised SSI and CMAS diving school, the centre focuses on structured, professional instruction. The team is dedicated to maintaining strict safety protocols, ensuring that every diver is mentally and physically prepared before entering the water. If a student is not ready for a specific skill or environment, the instructors will prioritise safety by pausing the session.

Training is available for all levels, from beginners starting their journey to professionals looking to advance their careers. The centre is well-equipped to handle various student needs, providing a safe and organised environment for both recreational and professional development.

The centre is a professional training school offering courses through both SSI and CMAS. You can begin your training with entry-level programmes or progress through various recreational levels to advance your skills.

Beyond basic certification, the school provides training for those looking to move into professional diving. The curriculum is designed to be clear and straightforward, ensuring that you gain the necessary knowledge and practical skills in a safe environment.

The centre operates its own boat to transport divers to offshore sites, which are typically located between 10 and 30 minutes from the resort. These excursions allow you to reach deeper waters and more varied topography than is possible from the shore.

For those looking for a different experience, shore-based excursions are also available. These coastal dives reach a maximum depth of 12 metres and are ideal for practicing skills or testing your equipment before heading out to sea.

The facility is well-equipped for serious divers, featuring two Bauer compressors with a capacity of 400 litres of air per minute. They maintain a stock of 25 air cylinders, including several 600-litre tanks kept under 200 bars of pressure. To ensure air quality, cylinders are filled using a cold water tank system.

For those travelling without their own kit, the centre offers 20 complete sets of standard equipment for both adults and children. Long-term divers can also take advantage of on-site storage for their personal gear. After your dives, you can use the dedicated freshwater tank for rinsing and cleaning your equipment, and the centre provides both hot and cold showers for your convenience.

The primary diving season runs from early April to the end of October. During this period, the centre conducts regular excursions to various sites around the Poreč area.

Dive sites vary in depth, with most regular excursions occurring between 5 and 39 metres. The most rewarding diving experiences in the region are typically found at depths between 17 and 25 metres. The centre monitors visibility and weather conditions closely before every trip to ensure safe and enjoyable diving.
