Outside, Istanbul provides the programme. You can reach historic sights such as the Basilica Cistern, Galata Tower, Topkapi Palace and the Column of Constantine, then return to Merter rather than paying central-district prices in time and patience. Parks lie within roughly 0.7 to 1.4 miles, and an ice-skating rink is nearby for something that does not involve another museum or another uphill street.

Couples may appreciate the simple rhythm: explore, eat close to the hotel, then retreat to a soundproofed room. Families have the added practicality of family rooms, an on-site minimarket and a location connected to the metro.
