Apollo Diving Center

Kaş is widely regarded as one of the premier diving destinations in Turkey, defined by its dramatic underwater topography and remarkable clarity. The area is a playground for divers seeking everything from shallow reef flats to deep, technical wreck penetrations and limestone caves.

Apollo Diving Center has been operating in these waters for two decades. Based at the Kaş port, the centre provides a gateway to the region's most significant sites, from the vertical walls of the canyon to the historic remains of sunken cargo ships.

The centre is affiliated with both PADI and CMAS, catering to a wide range of diver requirements. Instruction is available in both English and Turkish, ensuring clear communication for international divers.

Safety and attention are central to their operation, with a strict ratio of one guide for every four divers. This small group approach allows for more personalised guidance, whether you are completing your first certification or exploring a more challenging wreck.

The centre provides a comprehensive range of training through PADI and CMAS. For those new to the water, they offer Discover Scuba Diving experiences and the Open Water Diver course.

For more experienced divers, the curriculum includes the Advanced Open Water course and various specialty certifications. The team is equipped to guide you through the full progression of dive training.

The Dadga is a specialised diving vessel designed specifically for boat-based excursions. It features a large diving platform to facilitate easy entries and exits, alongside a dedicated equipment storage area to keep your kit organised.

On deck, you will find a large sunbathing area and a fully equipped kitchen. The boat is also fitted with two toilets, ensuring comfort during the day's trips. The centre operates both daytime sessions, typically consisting of two dives per day, and dedicated night dives.

Full equipment hire is available for those not travelling with their own kit. This includes a wetsuit, BCD, regulator, cylinder, weights, mask, and fins.

All essential kit is provided as part of the dive packages, making it straightforward to dive without the need to carry heavy gear from the shore.

The reefs around Kaş are home to a variety of larger pelagics and reef residents. You can expect to encounter groupers and barracuda patrolling the waters around sites like Uçanbalık and Deve Resifi.

In the shallower, calmer areas such as Neptün Resifi or the Vaha Bankosu plateau, the marine life is abundant and easily observed. These sites provide a steady stream of fish life against the backdrop of the Mediterranean seabed.

The local ecosystem is defined by its healthy reef structures, which support a diverse range of species across the various walls and underwater passages found in the region.

The best time to dive in this region is from April to November, with September and October typically offering the most favourable conditions. During these months, visibility is excellent, regularly ranging between 30 and 40 metres.

Water temperatures vary throughout the season, providing a comfortable environment for diving throughout the warmer months.
