Ida Hotel

Ida Hotel is a straightforward base in İçmeler, with the useful bits close at hand: air-conditioned rooms, balconies, a garden, a swimming pool and food served on site. You can spend the day by the water, come back to a room with a private bathroom and WiFi, then decide whether dinner happens indoors or beside the pool.

The place suits divers who want an uncomplicated stay rather than a self-contained resort with a timetable for every waking hour. There is a bar for a drink and live sport, a pool bar for something nearer the sun loungers, and room service when getting dressed again feels like an unnecessary second dive.

You are in İçmeler, within Marmaris, at İçmeler Mah. 323. Sk. No:6. İçmeler Beach is about 300 metres away, a roughly three-minute walk, so the sea is close without the hotel sitting directly on the sand. Icon Beach is about 0.7 miles away on foot, while Marmaris Public Beach is about 2.2 miles away.

The immediate area keeps you supplied with places to eat and drink: several bars and restaurants sit within about 0.1 miles. For a change of scene, Aqua Dream Water Park is about 3.7 miles away and Marmaris Castle and Marmaris Museum are about 5 miles away. The main Marmaris sights are therefore reachable, but Ida Hotel keeps you in İçmeler rather than placing you in the centre of Marmaris.

The room choice is mainly about how much space you want around the bed and whether you are sharing with a third person. A Standard Double Room keeps things compact for a couple, while the Deluxe Double Room gives you more room to spread out after a day in a wetsuit. For three guests, the triple rooms use either a double bed with a single bed or three single beds; that is worth checking carefully if everyone has strong views on mattresses.

Every room has air conditioning, a private bathroom with shower, a balcony and a refrigerator. The kettle is handy for the first drink of the morning, while the mosquito net and soundproofing address two of the less glamorous details of warm-weather sleep. Mountain views are available, and daily housekeeping keeps the practical side of the stay moving.

The balcony gives you somewhere to sit with a drink, but it is not presented as a diving equipment area; keep that distinction clear and use the room for what it is designed to do: let you shower, cool down and sleep.

Bonjour Tapas Bar sits by the pool and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, giving you an alternative when you would rather stay outside. A snack bar is also available, useful when a full meal feels ambitious but a small plate is not.

There are two named bars. Ida Lounge is the lobby bar, serving soft drinks, cocktails and local or imported alcoholic drinks, with Sky TV showing live sport. Pool Bar handles food and drinks beside the pool. After a long day in the water, that is a sensible division of labour: one bar for the match, one for the sun lounger.

Two outdoor pools give you an alternative to the beach, with a seasonal outdoor pool among them. Sun loungers, beach chairs, umbrellas and outdoor furniture are provided around the leisure areas, while the garden and sun terrace offer somewhere to sit without having to commit to another activity. Sometimes the correct post-dive plan is horizontal and requires no briefing.

For a little more movement, you can play darts or billiards. The hotel also has an indoor play area, board games and puzzles, which makes the family facilities more useful than a token children’s corner. A poolside bar keeps drinks and food nearby while you are outside.

The surrounding İçmeler setting adds the larger activities: the beach is close, and Marmaris attractions are within reach for a day away from the water. Back at the hotel, the choice is refreshingly modest—swim, sit in the garden, play a game or leave the television showing live sport while you recover.

Check-in runs from 13:00 and check-out is by 11:00. A 24-hour reception, express check-in and check-out, luggage storage, concierge service and currency exchange cover the useful edges of arrival and departure. That luggage storage can matter on a travel day when your flight and your room do not quite agree on the timetable.

An airport shuttle is available as a paid service with limited operating hours, so arrange it with the hotel before travelling. Rhodes International Airport is listed about 27 miles away geographically, with the road distance around 45 miles; this is not an airport-to-hotel hop, despite the modest map figure. Car hire and a shuttle service are also available, and the hotel accepts bank cards and cash.

Children over six are welcome, and cots can be requested. The property has wheelchair-accessible features, including an accessible room option and a lowered bathroom sink, while upper floors are reached by stairs.
