Bay City Scuba is situated in East Geelong on the Bellarine Peninsula, providing a gateway to some of the most diverse marine environments in Victoria. The centre has established itself as a cornerstone of the local diving community, having operated for ten consecutive years.

The location offers access to two distinct environments: the calm, abundant waters of Port Phillip Bay and the more dynamic conditions of Port Phillip Heads and the Bass Strait. This variety allows for a wide range of diving, from relaxed shore entries to more challenging wall and wreck dives.

The team at Bay City Scuba consists of professional, dedicated divers who cater to a broad spectrum of experience levels. Whether you are training for your first qualification or advancing through technical stages, the staff provides instruction across recreational, technical, and freediving disciplines.

As a Premier RAID dive training facility, the centre is equipped to handle high-level instruction, including RAID Instructor Training. This ensures a standard of teaching that meets the requirements for those looking to enter the professional side of the industry.

Training at Bay City Scuba covers the entire breadth of the RAID curriculum. For those starting out, they offer Snorkelling, Freediver Training, and Recreational Diver Training, including standard Open Water courses.

For advanced divers, the centre specialises in Technical Diver Training, including technical open circuit and rebreather programmes. They also serve as a RAID Instructor Training facility, supporting the next generation of professionals. Beyond scuba, they provide First Aid Training to ensure safety skills are integrated into your diving profile.

The centre operates a comprehensive retail shop and is the only facility in Geelong capable of servicing all major brands of dive equipment. For those needing cylinder maintenance, they host the only on-site hydrostatic test station in the Geelong area.

Gas blending is a significant part of their shore-based operation. They maintain a massive Nitrox membrane system and two dedicated oxygen and mixed gas boosters, providing Air, Nitrox (including 28, 32, 36, and 40), Trimix, Oxygen, and Helium. They hold over 1,000,000 litres of banked gas to support both recreational and technical divers.

The marine life in the region is defined by its diversity, particularly around the soft coral reefs. You will frequently encounter a variety of fish life that thrives within these complex ecosystems.

The reef structures provide a home for various species, with soft corals creating a vibrant backdrop for your dives. These habitats support a wide range of fish that inhabit the walls and reef flats.
