Ningaloo Reef - Exmouth Dive and Whalesharks

With over two decades of local experience, the team is well-versed in the seasonal shifts and marine behaviours of the Ningaloo coast. They offer a range of services including day excursions and sunset cruises for those looking to experience the area from the water.

For those starting their journey, the centre offers the PADI Open Water Diver course. For those looking to expand their skills, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is also available.

The centre also provides Nitrox training, allowing you to become proficient in using enriched air for your dives.

The centre provides full equipment hire for divers who do not wish to carry their own kit. This includes essential items such as regulators, BCDs, and exposure suits.

Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time. The facility is set up to support both training and recreational diving needs for local and visiting divers.

The Ningaloo Reef is famous for its seasonal visitors. Between March and August, you can encounter whale sharks, while humpback whales are present from June to November. Manta rays can be seen from April to November, and turtle nesting occurs during the summer months.

Beyond the large pelagics, the reef is home to a vast array of tropical fish, corals, and various species of turtles and dolphins. You will regularly see mackerels, tuna, and leopard sharks patrolling the area, alongside southern stingrays and the large Goliath grouper.

The reef structure supports a healthy population of crustaceans, including crabs and various mollusks. Divers will also find coral trout and various other reef fish living amongst the complex coral formations.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants are abundant throughout the reef, including various species of crabs and other invertebrates that inhabit the reef flat and coral structures.

The diving environment typically features gentle currents on certain discovery sites. The area is particularly rich in plankton from March to June, which plays a significant role in attracting the larger marine life to the reef.
