Purple Turtle Dive Fiji is a PADI 5 Star centre located in the heart of Fiji's tourism hub at Denarau Marina. The centre serves as a primary gateway for divers looking to explore the vibrant reef systems of the Mamanuca Islands.

Operating with a professional and friendly approach, the centre focuses on high-quality guided excursions. Whether you are looking to complete your initial certifications or are a seasoned diver seeking drift dives, the operation is designed to handle a variety of experience levels with a consistent standard of safety.

The centre is managed by the owner and distinguishes itself by having a PADI Course Director based on-site. This ensures a high level of expertise is available for advanced training and complex dive planning.

To maintain a safe and attentive environment, the centre operates with a low diver-to-guide ratio, aiming for a maximum of four divers per guide. This allows for personalised attention during both training sessions and reef explorations.

As a PADI 5 Star centre with an internal Course Director, the training programme is extensive. They cover the full spectrum of PADI certifications, starting from Open Water Diver through to Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver.

Specialised training is also available for those looking to refine their skills or move into technical territory. This includes PADI Deep Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck Diver, and Sidemount Diver courses. They also offer training for Drift Diver, Boat Diver, and Self Reliant Diver, alongside Freediver and Advanced Freediver programmes.

The primary vessel is Tanks Alot, a locally built 8.8-metre aluminium boat commissioned in 2024. It is powered by dual 200HP Mercury Seapro outboard engines, ensuring reliable transit to the dive sites.

The boat is configured to carry up to 12 passengers and is equipped for comfortable day trips. On board, you will find a freshwater shower and a range of provisions including fresh fruit, snacks, coffee, and hot chocolate. Safety equipment is comprehensive, including VHF radio, GPS, life cells, and an ePIRB.

The centre provides full equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit. This includes regulators, BCDs, wetsuits, fins, and masks.

Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time. For safety, the centre carries a complete range of first aid and oxygen kits on all excursions.

The best time to dive in this region is between May and October, when visibility is at its highest, typically ranging between 20 and 40 metres. The dive sites are generally reached via a 45 to 60-minute boat ride from the marina. Sites are selected daily based on the prevailing weather conditions to ensure the best possible experience.
