Located on the island of Beqa, this resort offers an immersive diving experience set within one of the most diverse marine ecosystems in the Pacific. The centre is renowned globally for its shark encounters, specifically at sites like The Cathedral, where multiple species congregate.

Reaching the resort involves a 2.5-hour drive from Nadi International Airport along the Coral Coast, followed by a 45-minute boat transfer from the main island of Viti Levu. Most packages include these land and sea transfers, providing a seamless transition to the island.

As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre, the facility is equipped to handle everything from entry-level training to professional instructor development. The team provides instruction in English, covering the full spectrum of PADI certifications.

The centre is deeply committed to marine conservation, actively participating in coral restoration, mangrove planting, and the management of crown-of-thorns starfish. This focus on the local environment ensures that the reefs you dive remain healthy and vibrant.

The training programme is comprehensive, catering to all experience levels through PADI courses. Beginners can start with the Junior Open Water or Open Water Diver courses, while those looking to progress can pursue Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster certifications.

Specialty training is also a core part of the curriculum, including Nitrox, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and Night Diving. For younger divers, the Seal Team and Bubble Maker programmes are available.

The centre operates dual-hulled power boats to transport divers to the offshore reefs. These vessels allow for efficient travel to sites like Secret Island and the various shark dive locations.

Full equipment hire is available on-site for those not travelling with their own kit. The centre provides a range of essential gear, including regulators, wetsuits, fins, and masks.

Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time, with additional fees applying for these fills. For those preferring to dive at their own pace, the house reef offers unlimited access directly from the beach.

The shark encounters here are legendary, with a high probability of seeing bull sharks, tiger sharks, silky sharks, tawny nurse sharks, blacktip reef sharks, whitetip sharks, grey reef sharks, and lemon sharks. These species are present year-round, making Beqa a premier destination for predator enthusiasts.

The reef itself is a riot of colour, dominated by vibrant soft corals and large sea fans. You will find large groupers, jacks, and various species of tropical fish patrolling the reef structure.

Macro life and smaller residents are abundant throughout the house reef and surrounding sites. Keep an eye out for octopuses, garden eels, orangutan crabs, and various rays moving across the sandy patches.

Turtle sightings are common, along with various reef sharks and diverse populations of colourful reef fish including parrotfish and angelfish.

Diving is possible year-round, though the best visibility is typically found between April and October. From November to March, the water temperatures are warmer and the soft coral blooms are at their most prolific.

Divers should be aware that certain sites, such as the Apex Arena, can be subject to strong currents. It is important to check daily conditions with the dive team before heading out.
