Instruction is available for all levels, ranging from children aged 10 through to professional-level students. For those pursuing a career in diving, the centre offers specialised training including First Aid for Professional Divers and the NAUI Instructor Training Course (ITC).

The training catalogue is extensive, covering the full NAUI progression. Beginners can start with Try SCUBA Diving or the Junior Open Water SCUBA Diver course, moving through to Open Water Diver (OWD), Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD), and Rescue Diver.

For those aiming for professional status, the centre offers Divemaster training and the NAUI Instructor Training Course (ITC). The centre is a NAUI-affiliated facility providing full equipment hire for divers who do not wish to travel with their own kit. They also operate as an authorised service centre, meaning they can provide professional maintenance for your regulators and perform visual inspections on your cylinders.

Nitrox is available on-site for divers looking to extend their bottom times. For long-term residents on the shark or Sardine Run programmes, the centre can arrange meal plans and provides accommodation options ranging from self-managed dormitories at Twin Palms to lodge-based stays.

The area is a major hotspot for sharks, with a wide variety of species including dusky sharks, bronze whalers, mako, blue sharks, bull sharks, and oceanic blacktips. You can also encounter smaller species like shysharks and catsharks on the reef.

During the winter months, the region becomes a theatre for large pelagics and migratory species. This is the primary season for the Sardine Run, as well as sightings of humpback whales, Bryde’s whales, and Shepherd’s Beaked Whales. Dolphins are also frequently seen during the winter season.

In the open water, you may encounter kingfish, bonito, and yellowfin tuna. For those interested in the smaller details of the reef, nudibranchs provide plenty of colour and interest for macro enthusiasts.

It is worth noting that the centre is particularly busy during the December and January holiday season, and they do not run residential programmes during this period.
