Force-E Scuba Centers

Force-E Scuba Centers has been a fixture of the South Florida diving community since 1976. With six different shop locations spanning from Jupiter down to Fort Lauderdale, they have built a significant presence in the region, serving as both a retail hub and a gateway to the Atlantic wrecks and reefs.

You can find them in Jupiter, Riviera Beach, Boynton Beach, Boca Raton, Pompano Beach, and Fort Lauderdale. This wide reach allows them to organise daily excursions that tap into the diverse underwater topography of the Florida coast, from shallow reef flats to deep, technical wreck sites.

The centre operates with a focus on professional development and a wide breadth of training. They cater to everyone from those taking their first Try Scuba Diving experience to professional candidates working towards their Divemaster or Scuba Instructor ratings.

Their curriculum is built upon multiple major affiliations, including NAUI, SDI, SSI, and TDI. This ensures that whether you are following a recreational path or a technical one, the instruction meets established international standards. They also offer specialised instruction for Police and Fire dive teams.

The training catalogue is extensive, covering every stage of a diver's progression. Beginners can start with SCUBA Certification or Try Scuba Diving, moving through to Advanced Open Water and Rescue courses.

For those looking to specialise, they offer Wreck Diver, Freediving, and various specialty courses. Technical divers can find advanced training through courses such as Advance Nitrox & Deco and dedicated Technical Diving courses, including support for Avelo Dive Systems.

The shops are fully equipped for both retail and service needs. They carry almost all major brands of diving equipment and provide full kit hire for those who do not wish to travel with their own regulators, BCDs, or exposure suits.

For those looking to extend their bottom time or dive more safely on deeper sites, Nitrox is available for filling. The centre also provides regular equipment maintenance and servicing to ensure your kit is ready for the salt water.

The reefs and wrecks are home to a constant presence of large fish and turtles. You will regularly encounter Goliath grouper, moray eels, southern stingrays, nurse sharks, and various tropical fish. Sea turtles, including Loggerhead, Green, and Hawksbill species, are common sights throughout the area.

Pelagic life is frequently seen on the deeper wrecks, with sightings of Amberjack, various pelagic fish, and occasionally a Bull shark. You may also spot Caribbean reef sharks, spotted eagle rays, and Hammerhead sharks during your dives.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants include octopuses and various species of rays. Between August and October, the Goliath grouper becomes a seasonal highlight, with large aggregations often found around the wrecks.

For those looking for specific encounters, the wreck of the MV Castor provides an exceptional opportunity between August and October to see between 30 and 50 Goliath groupers gathered on the bow and sides.

Currents can be a significant factor depending on your chosen site. You should expect strong currents when diving the Lady Luck, Captain Dan, Hydro Atlantic, or MV Castor, and a prevailing northerly drift on the Corridor Wreck Trek.

Many of the wreck sites are designed for easy penetration, but the presence of currents means that an Advanced certification and a reliable surface signalling device are highly recommended for these locations.
