Fyne Diving

Located in the picturesque area of Arrochar, Fyne Diving serves as a gateway to the underwater worlds of Loch Fyne, Loch Long, and Loch Goil. The centre provides access to the varied topography of the Scottish lochs, ranging from sheltered areas to more challenging environments.

Since its establishment, the centre has focused on delivering high-standard PADI instruction and technical diving programmes. Whether you are looking to start your journey with a Discovery Scuba Diving session or you are an experienced diver seeking technical qualifications, the team provides the expertise required for these cold-water environments.

The team is led by Colin Irvine, an experienced instructor with a qualification in Tec 50, who founded the operation after running Scuba Ts in Falkirk since 2016. He is joined by Wiktoria Patras, a DSD Leader, and Pauline Irvine, who manages administration.

Safety is a core component of their operations, with the centre utilizing DAN insurance for its divers. They also maintain an advanced external defibrillator (AED) on-site to ensure a high standard of emergency preparedness during training and guided dives.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the PADI Scuba Diver course, progressing through to the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses.

For those looking to advance into technical diving, the centre offers specialised training including the Drysuit Specialty and technical courses up to the Tec 50 level. This structured progression allows divers to build the skills necessary for more complex environments.

The centre operates a school dive boat designed to transport divers to various sites across the lochs. This vessel allows for efficient access to different dive locations, ensuring you can reach the best spots for your specific level of experience.

For those not bringing their own kit, Fyne Diving offers a full range of equipment hire, including cylinders and complete kit sets. This allows divers to travel light while still having access to the necessary tools for a successful dive.

In addition to diving equipment, the centre provides air refills on the shores of Loch Long and Loch Fyne, making it a practical base for divers moving between different locations.
