CIP Guadeloupe

CIP Guadeloupe is established on the Malendure beach in Bouillante, positioned at the gateway to the Cousteau Reserve. Since its creation in 1985, the centre has been a long-standing fixture in the Antilles, serving as a major hub for diving instruction in the region.

The centre operates within the Guadeloupe National Park, providing access to the Ilets Pigeons and various other sites throughout the local marine reserve. This location allows for a diverse range of diving, from shallow reef flats to deeper explorations in more remote, preserved areas.

The team consists of 3 instructors dedicated to a wide variety of diving disciplines. To ensure safety and personal attention, the centre maintains a ratio of 4 divers per guide.

Training is a core component of their identity, with a curriculum that spans from initial discovery dives to professional monitorat levels. They cater to a broad spectrum of divers, including children through specific FFESSM and ANMP programmes.

The training catalogue is extensive, covering multiple certifying bodies including SSI, FFESSM, CMAS, and NAUI. For those following the SSI path, courses range from Basic Diver and Open Water Diver to Advanced Adventurer, Deep Diver, and Rescue.

For divers following the French federations, the centre offers the full progression from Niveau 1 through to Niveau 4, as well as specialized PE and PA certifications. Professional training is also available, covering the BPJEPS, DEJEPS, and MF1 monitor levels.

The centre offers a full range of equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit, including wetsuits, masks, fins, BCDs, and regulators. This allows you to arrive at the beach with minimal luggage.

Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time or manage nitrogen loading during multi-dive days. The facility is set up to support both guided exploration dives and autonomous diving sessions.

The reefs are home to a steady population of groupers, triggerfish, and boxfish. You will often encounter various species of tuna and bonitos cruising the deeper waters, alongside large barracudas and mahi-mahi.

In the crevices and under ledges, look for green moray eels, porcupinefish, and captain fish. The sandy areas and reef edges also host various species of fish such as pufferfish and various species of snapper.

Macro life and crustaceans are present throughout the sites, including lobster and various species of moray eels. Depending on the season, you may also encounter turtles in the area.

The ecosystem is supported by a rich variety of fixed life, including diverse coral formations and sponges that provide habitat for the local pelagics and reef residents.
