Bain chaud de Bouillante is around 1.3 miles away by direct distance, or about 1.8 miles by road.

You are not stranded from the useful bits of the coast. Franko Grill is about 1,150 feet away by road, La Côte Oueste around 2,800 feet, and O Z Epices roughly 1.4 miles away. For a change of scenery on land, Cascade le Saut de LAcomat is about 7 miles by car, while Habitation Côte sous-le-Vent is around 6 miles away.

Pointe-à-Pitre Le Raizet Airport is about 26 miles by road, with an airport shuttle available through the property. Baillif Airport is closer at roughly 13 miles by road. A hire-car service is also available, which is useful on this part of the island where the best-looking turn-off is not always the one you expected.

The room setup suits two people who would rather have proper space than perform a careful luggage-stacking exercise. For lunch and dinner, Kawak is the livelier option. This beach bar and restaurant sits at Anse à Sable, right by the shore, and combines Caribbean cooking with a wider world-food approach and house cocktails. Lunch and dinner are served from Wednesday to Friday, while Saturday and Sunday run continuously from midday into the evening. The published hours are Wednesday to Friday from 12:00 to 15:00 and 19:00 to 23:00, then Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 23:00.

There is one bar, at Kawak, with cocktails at its centre of gravity. La Réserve is the hotel’s restaurant reserved for guests, giving you another on-site dining setting when you want dinner without going back out. A coffee house, minibar and tea-and-coffee facilities add useful small-scale options between meals.

The most convincing non-diving plan here is pleasantly uncomplicated: take a lounger, find some shade under an umbrella and let the garden do the entertaining. The property has a direct sea access, sun terrace, outdoor furniture and beach loungers, so you can stay close to the water without turning relaxation into a scheduled activity.

The SPA des Galets Rouges covers the more deliberate version of doing nothing. Treatments include massage, facial care, hammam, sauna, jacuzzi, mud baths, body wraps and other body treatments. Couples can book a couples massage; feet, back, neck, head and full-body massages are also available. After several days of fins, straps and generally unglamorous rubber equipment, a treatment aimed at the back or feet has a certain logic.

When you want to move rather than lie still, hiking, walking tours, boat outings, island trips, waterfalls, markets and snorkelling are available activities around the stay. Live music, evening entertainment and karaoke are also on the programme, with themed dinners and local-culture tours among the options. The hotel can also help with concierge requests, car hire and laundry.

Check-in runs from 16:00 to 19:30, and check-out from 10:00 to 12:00. Plan the arrival rather than treating it as a casual late-evening drop-in. An airport shuttle is available, and car hire can be arranged; private parking is available on site and does not require advance reservation.
