Restaurants and the island's activities are accessible on foot, while Ambatoloaka Beach is about 0.7 miles away and Ambondrona Beach about 1.1 miles away. For a change of scenery on land, Mount Passot is about 13 miles away by road and Lokobe Reserve about 9 miles away by road. Fascene Airport is roughly 12 miles away by road, with the journey listed at around 22 minutes by car.

The room choice is uncomplicated. For two, the Double Room gives you a king-size bed and a balcony with the sea in view. If three people are sharing, the Triple Room uses one double bed and one single bed, making it the practical choice for a small family or a trio of divers who do not need separate bedrooms.

Every room has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, tiled flooring, a wardrobe and a balcony. The bathrooms were renovated in 2019. Sea views come as part of the room experience, rather than as a lucky result of booking the right corner of a large building.

A fan, mosquito net and non-smoking rooms cover the useful details of a tropical night. The upper floors are reached by stairs only, worth keeping in mind if your knees have had a long day or your luggage has developed ambitions. Family rooms are available, and luggage storage helps if your travel plans leave you with time to fill before departure.

Restaurant Chez Senga serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in an open room facing the Mozambique Channel, with a terrace overlooking the beach. Breakfast is à la carte and continental in style, while the board formula is room only, so you can keep meals flexible rather than committing the whole stay to a fixed package.

The cooking moves between local, seafood and international dishes. Fresh fish, fish tartare and zebu with vanilla bring Madagascar to the plate; homemade fresh pasta, chicken and bolognese cover the days when the appetite wants something familiar. The menu is deliberately limited, with fresh products at its centre. That is often a sensible arrangement when the day's main task has been carrying dive gear and pretending not to be hungry.

The bar is also the natural meeting point for swapping excursion stories or watching the sunset without having to leave the property.

Madirokely Beach is the main after-dive option, and it is directly accessible from the guesthouse. You can swim, snorkel or simply let the day become less demanding on the sand. The property also offers walking tours, while paid bike tours provide a more active way to see the area.

On the water, the programme includes sailing, fishing, boat excursions, traditional pirogue trips and catamaran cruises.
