ABC Dive Ltd

ABC Dive Ltd has been operating in Paphos, Cyprus, since 2003. The centre is positioned to provide access to the clear, warm waters of the Mediterranean, serving both the Paphos and Limassol regions.

As a PADI affiliated centre, the club offers a structured environment for both recreational exploration and formal training. Whether you are looking for your first bubbles or working towards professional instructor levels, the centre provides the necessary framework for diving in the Cyprus basin.

The team consists of experienced instructors capable of guiding divers through every stage of their progression. They cater to a wide range of divers, from the Bubblemaker programme for children to professional-level training.

Instruction is provided in English and Russian. The centre focuses on a friendly atmosphere while maintaining the rigorous safety standards required by PADI.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Bubblemaker programme for younger divers, progressing through Open Water Diver, PADI Scuba Diver, and Adventure Diver.

For more advanced training, the centre offers the Advanced Open Water Diver course and several specialties, including Deep Diving, Wreck-diving, Night Diving, Underwater Navigation, and Drift Diving. Professional candidates can train for the PADI Divemaster and Assistant Instructor levels. The centre also provides Emergency First Response training.

The centre provides various services for divers preparing for their outings. Nitrox is available for those looking to extend their bottom times on multi-dive days.

For those not travelling with their own kit, the centre offers equipment hire to ensure you have the necessary components for your dives.

The Mediterranean waters around Paphos are home to a diverse range of fish. You will encounter various species including sea bream (Sparidae), two-banded seabreams, and different wrasse species. Large schools of fish, including almaco jacks and baby barracudas, are common sights.

Predatory species and larger fish also frequent the reefs and wrecks. Look out for groupers (Epinephelus), marbled groupers, amberjack (Seriola), and John Dory (Zeus faber). You may also spot lionfish, triggerfish (Balistidae), and great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda) patrolling the area.

In the sandy patches and around the structures, you can find octopuses (Octopus vulgaris), cuttlefish (Sepiidae), and various rays, including the bull ray. Moray eels (Muraenidae), specifically the Mediterranean moray eel, are often found near the reef edges.

For those interested in macro life, the area hosts nudibranchs, including the spotted nudibranch and Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani). You might also encounter slipper lobster, jellyfish, and various small creatures like combtooth blenny (Blenniidae) and Atlantic lizardfish (Synodus saurus).
