The port is in front of you, the coast opens out from the hotel, and the village supplies the useful things that make a diving trip run smoothly: places to eat, a bar nearby, boat and scooter hire, and a diving centre in Rio Marina.

Most rooms look towards the sea, while others face the characteristic town. That gives you a choice between waking to the harbour and settling into the rhythm of the village. Bicycle rental is available, and the hotel can arrange car hire, giving you two sensible ways to explore Elba when you want to leave Rio Marina behind for the day. Electric bikes and scooters are also available for rental in the village.
