The station at Golfo Aranci is roughly 0.7 miles from the hotel, while Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport is about 13 miles away by road.

For two, the Standard Double Room keeps things straightforward: one double bed, air conditioning, a private bathroom and the usual places to put your clothes and belongings. The desk is useful for checking tomorrow's plans, while the refrigerator earns its keep when you return warm, thirsty and not yet ready for dinner.

The Family Room is the sensible choice when four people need to share without pretending that two beds are a family strategy. It combines a king-size bed with bunk beds. The Basic Triple Room suits a small group of three, with two single beds, though the arrangement is worth checking carefully if everyone wants their own sleeping space.

Rooms include a flat-screen television, wardrobe, linen, towels, toiletries, a hairdryer and either a bath or shower. Daily housekeeping keeps the practical side moving, and non-smoking rooms are available. Some rooms have sea views, giving you something better to look at than the dive computer while you wait for the legs to recover.

Restaurant Il Miraggio handles the main meals, with Mediterranean cooking and a terrace overlooking the sea. Breakfast is served as a buffet, followed by lunch and dinner, so you can keep the morning simple and deal with food properly once the appetite catches up. The dress code is casual, which is helpful when your most formal item of clothing is still drying.

Half-board is available. The restaurant serves breakfast from 07:30, with lunch and dinner later in the day, and room service is also offered. For a lighter return from the beach, packed lunches are available. There is one bar: the American Bar, a lobby bar serving cocktails, wines and spirits in a relaxed setting.

The combination suits a diving holiday without making every meal an expedition. You can eat on site, move to the bar for a drink, or walk into Golfo Aranci when you fancy a change of scenery.

The large outdoor swimming pool gives you a second place to spend the afternoon, with sun loungers and umbrellas around it. That matters on the days when the sea has had enough of you, or when you want a horizontal surface that does not move beneath your fins. Outdoor seating and a picnic area add more places to pause without having to retreat indoors.

On the water, you can arrange snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding, boat excursions and equipment hire. The hotel also offers excursions to the Maddalena Archipelago, a useful option for a non-diving day when you still want the coastline to do the entertaining.

A fitness centre and fitness classes are available for those who prefer a little movement between dives. Families can also make use of babysitting and a children's menu, while pets are welcome on request. The pace is yours: pool, paddleboard, lunch, nap, and nobody has to call it a programme.

Airport transfers are available from Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport, as a shuttle service arranged with the hotel. Car hire is also available. For arrival by rail, Golfo Aranci station is about 0.7 miles away. Luggage storage is useful if your flight and room do not happen to agree on timing, and a concierge service can help organise the practical details.
