Dive Tribe - 5* IDC PADI Dive Centre

Dive Tribe is a PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre situated in Al Quoz Industrial 4, in the heart of Dubai. The centre serves as a hub for both local exploration and international diving expeditions, catering to divers looking to progress through their certifications or those seeking organised trips abroad.

Beyond the local waters, the centre organises specialised diving trips, including dhow liveaboard expeditions to the Musandam Peninsula. They also facilitate travel to world-renowned diving destinations such as the Maldives, Egypt, and South Africa.

As a 5 Star Instructor Development Centre (IDC), Dive Tribe is equipped to handle the full spectrum of diver progression. This includes everything from Discover Scuba Diving for beginners to professional pathways such as Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Scuba Instructor courses.

The centre also provides specialised programmes for younger divers, including the PADI Master Seal Team. With on-site classrooms and a dedicated 60m² training pool, the facility is designed to support structured learning and skill refinement before heading out to sea.

The training programme covers the entire PADI progression. New divers can begin with Discover Scuba Diving and move through to Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

For those looking to turn diving into a career, the centre offers professional training including Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Scuba Instructor courses. They also host Instructor Development Courses (IDC) as a 5 Star IDC centre. Specialist training is also available, such as the PADI Master Seal Team for children.

The centre organises dhow liveaboard expeditions to the Musandam Peninsula, offering a three-deck vessel for weekend diving trips.

The centre features a specialised equipment shop on-site. For those requiring kit, a full rental range is available, including BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, fins, masks, and boots. Please note that cylinders are not included in the standard kit rental.

Training is supported by an on-site 60m² multi-level pool, providing a controlled environment for skill practice and course work. The shop also carries specialised equipment, including helium for technical diving requirements.

The marine life in the region is diverse, with various species appearing around the reefs and wrecks. You may encounter Yellowtail barracuda (Sphyraena flavicauda), Snappers (Lutjanidae), and various species of Jack (Carangidae) or trevally.

On the seabed and around structures, you can find Grouper (Epinephelinae), Moray eel (Muraenidae), and various species of Ray (Batoidea) or Stingrays (Myliobatiformes). Lionfish (Pterois volitans) and Batfish (Platax) are also present in the local waters.

The hard and soft scenery includes various Soft coral (Alcyonacea) and various species of oysters and scallops. Cuttlefish (Sepiidae) and other cephalopods add to the interest for those watching the reef flat.

In certain seasons, divers travelling on international expeditions may encounter Shark species in South Africa.

The centre offers night diving opportunities for those looking to explore the underwater environment after sunset.
