The centre is a PADI 5 Star facility, reflecting a high standard of training and operational safety. The team is composed of experienced instructors, captains, and rescue-trained guides who prioritise personalised support for every diver.

Instruction is delivered by a multilingual team, capable of communicating in English, Arabic, German, Italian, French, Russian, Danish, and Spanish. This makes the centre an accessible choice for a wide range of international divers.

The leadership brings a unique level of expertise to the operation; the founder, Yasser Ahmed Al Assal, is a PADI Master Instructor with a background as a combat diver (frogman), ensuring that safety and technical proficiency are ingrained in the centre's culture.

Mermaid Diving Centre offers a complete progression of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving and move through the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses.

For divers looking to extend their bottom time or manage decompression, Nitrox and Trimix are available on-site. The facility is equipped to support a variety of diving profiles, from recreational reef dives to more technical excursions.

The reefs and wrecks of the Gulf are home to a variety of larger species. You will often encounter Yellowtail barracuda (Sphyraena flavicauda), various Snappers (Lutjanidae), and Jack (Carangidae) patrolling the water column. Groupers (Epinephelinae) and Lionfish (Pterois volitans) are frequently seen near the structures, while Moray eel (Muraenidae) may be found amongst the crevices.

In the open water and sandy areas, divers can spot Rays (Batoidea) and Stingrays (Myliobatiformes). Batfish (Platax) and various species of trevally are also common residents of these waters.

The seabed and reef surfaces are textured with Soft coral (Alcyonacea), oysters, and scallops. These provide a habitat for smaller inhabitants, including Cuttlefish (Sepiidae) and various juvenile fish.

Macro life and smaller organisms are abundant throughout the region, with divers frequently observing various species of shrimp, crabs, and other crustaceans amongst the reef architecture.
