Communication is facilitated by an international team capable of instructing in English, German, French, and Chinese. The centre is also the only business on the island to hold the WA Tourism 'Quality Tourism Marine Accredited Business' accreditation, reflecting a commitment to professional standards.

The centre provides a comprehensive range of training through PADI and SSI, covering every stage from initial entry to professional levels. Beginner courses include Try Scuba, Scuba Diver, and Open Water Diver, while those looking to progress can undertake Advanced Adventurer, Deep Diver Specialty, and Enriched Air Nitrox.

For divers pursuing professional paths, the centre offers Divemaster and Dive Guide training. More specialised instruction is available through courses such as Specialty in Buoyancy, Navigation, Search & Recovery, Night Diving, and Drift Diving, as well as the Science of Diving and Equipment Techniques.

The centre operates two spacious boats, the Nemo and the Ocean Diver, both capable of carrying up to 18 passengers. These vessels are powered by twin 250 HP engines, providing reliable transit to the island's more remote sites.

On board, you will find amenities including marine toilets, sun protection, and a dry area for your bags. To ensure comfort between dives, the boats are equipped with freshwater showers and provide snacks, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate.

For those requiring a full rental rig, the centre provides high-quality equipment from Aqua Lung, including BCDs, regulators, and dive computers. Shorty wetsuits, masks, snorkels, and fins are also available for hire, alongside underwater cameras for capturing the local marine life.

Nitrox 32% is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time. The centre is also equipped to support technical diving through its rebreather capabilities.

The marine life is defined by incredible diversity, with over 200 species of coral forming the backbone of the reef. You will find a vast array of reef fish, including parrotfish, angelfish, butterflyfish, and large Maori wrasse. The walls and drop-offs are frequently patrolled by reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, and larger species like hammerhead sharks.

During the peak season from October to April, the island becomes a magnet for larger pelagics. You may encounter whale sharks and manta rays during this period, with silky sharks often appearing on morning dives.

Macro enthusiasts will find plenty to explore in the smaller crevices and sandy patches. The area is home to Spanish dancers, nudibranchs, cleaner shrimp, and various species of octopus and moray eels. Garden eels are also a common sight in the sandy areas of the reef.

Endemic species add to the uniqueness of the island, including the Cocos angelfish and various hybrid fish species found nowhere else in the world. Dolphins and turtles are also regular visitors to the shallower reef flats and lagoons.

Diving on Christmas Island is influenced by seasonal wind patterns. The dry season from April to November typically sees south or south-east winds, while the wet season from November to April brings north-west winds, which can occasionally increase swell and affect access to certain sites.

Water currents can be significant, particularly at sites like Coconut Point and Perpendicular Wall, where strong currents are a characteristic of the dive. However, many other sites offer gentle drift dives or calm reef conditions suitable for a wider range of divers.
