Enjoy Diving has been operating in New Caledonia since 1987, establishing itself as a specialist in both day excursions and multi-day liveaboard cruises. Based in Noumea, the centre is designed for divers who want to move beyond the standard reef flats and explore the more rugged, less-visited environments of the South Lagoon.

The operation is built around a commitment to immersion, using a dedicated 18m trawler to reach sites that are often inaccessible to standard day-boats. Whether you are looking to complete your initial certifications or are a technical diver seeking remote passes, the focus remains on high-quality exploration of the lagoon's most significant features.

The centre is run by a team of State-certified instructors who manage a wide range of training programmes. All instruction is conducted in French, making it a local specialist for those looking for authentic New Caledonian diving experiences.

Training is structured to support divers at every stage of their journey, from those taking their very first breaths underwater to technical divers working on advanced gas blending and rebreather configurations. The team focuses on providing the technical support necessary for both recreational and advanced exploration.

The training catalogue at Enjoy Diving covers the full spectrum of diving qualifications. Beginners can start with Niveau 1, progressing through Niveau 2 and Niveau 3 certifications.

For those looking to specialise, the centre offers Nitrox courses and technical training including PE40. They also provide instruction for rebreather users, catering to the growing community of technical explorers in the region.

The Enjoy is an 18m trawler powered by twin Sole engines, specifically configured to handle the requirements of liveaboard diving. It serves as a stable platform for extended cruises, allowing you to reach remote sites like the Prony zone or the deeper passes of the South Lagoon.

On board, the vessel features five air-conditioned double cabins, including a bow cabin with twin berths and a modular double cabin in the interior salon. For relaxation between dives, there is a flybridge equipped with sun loungers, seating, and a small bar area, alongside an interior salon with a flat-screen TV.

Practical amenities for divers include two shower rooms with hot water and a large exterior deck area for preparing equipment and sharing meals. The boat is well-equipped for technical divers, featuring a multi-hub battery charging station for electronic gear. All meals are provided during the cruise, and tea and coffee are available on board throughout the trip.

The centre provides a full range of rental equipment for those not travelling with their own kit. This includes everything from regulators and BCDs to wetsuits and fins, ensuring you can arrive ready to dive without needing to transport heavy gear.

For those looking to extend their bottom time or dive more safely, Nitrox is available on site. The centre also supports technical diving with rebreather capabilities and dedicated charging facilities for electronic equipment.

The South Lagoon is a premier location for observing large pelagic species. In the passes, such as Passe d'Extasy and Passe d'Isie, you can regularly encounter hammerhead sharks, grey reef sharks, and dolphins. During the month of September, the area around the Monts sous marins becomes a significant zone for whale watching.

Reef life is abundant across the various sites, with sea turtles and various species of sharks frequently sighted. You will find a healthy population of fish including trevally, goatfish, and various surgeonfish (Acanthuridae) patrolling the reef structures.

For those interested in macro life, the crevices and coral heads host a variety of smaller organisms. Look for nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani) among the reef details, as well as moray eels (Muraenidae) tucked into the substrate.

Diving in the South Lagoon is influenced by the local currents, which can become quite strong, particularly during a super moon. These currents make sites like Passe de Toau ideal for experienced divers comfortable with drift diving.

The seasonal calendar is most notable in September, when the presence of whales in the underwater mounts makes it a prime time for biological observation.
