The Cathedral, Efate: Diving Vanuatu's Limestone Cavern

Diving The Cathedral immediately immerses you into a specific geological formation on Efate. Your dive begins with a descent to 22 metres, where the entrance to the cavern awaits. This is not a tight squeeze but a wide, open mouth in the limestone, welcoming you into its interior. Inside the cavern, the true namesake of The Cathedral becomes clear. Above you, an open roof allows majestic shafts of sunlight to penetrate the water, illuminating a natural pool within.
