Placencia Airport is about 1.8 miles from the hotel and around ten minutes by car. The village setting gives you access to everyday supplies and places to eat without requiring a taxi every time you need a bottle of water or a change of scenery.

The room choice is mainly about how much space and outlook you want. The Basic Double Room keeps things compact for a pair travelling light, while the Studio with Ocean View gives you more room to settle in and adds the useful combination of a kitchenette and private balcony. That is the one to look at if you like having somewhere to sit with a cold drink rather than treating the bed as the only piece of furniture worth using.

The Apartment with Sea View is the more spacious option for two, with a private bathroom. It makes sense when you want a little more elbow room between swims, meals and the inevitable pile of dry clothes that accumulates on a diving trip. The arrangement works particularly well for divers who do not want to turn every evening into an expedition. Come back, shower, have something cold, and decide whether dinner requires shoes beyond the pair already by the door.

The free bicycles are the simplest way to explore beyond the immediate harbour-side setting. You can also take one of the complimentary kayaks onto the surrounding waters, giving you an active option on a non-diving day without signing up for a full excursion.

Canoeing is available on site, while sailing and snorkelling are among the water-based activities around the hotel. Fishing is also available as an activity. The useful point is variety rather than a packed programme: you can paddle, cycle or head out on the water, then return to the balcony, pier or bar before the afternoon heat has had the final word.

Sun umbrellas and outdoor furniture provide places to sit outside, and the quiet position at the end of the peninsula gives you room to spend an hour doing very little. After all, not every surface interval needs to become an organised activity.
