Delta's Splash Dive Center

Based at the Dania Beach Marina, Delta's Splash Dive Charter is a long-established fixture of the South Florida diving scene. Since opening in 1989, the centre has focused on providing reliable boat charters to the diverse underwater landscapes that define this coastline.

Whether you are looking to explore local wrecks or drift along vibrant reef systems, the operation is designed for efficiency and comfort. Their location is highly convenient for those travelling through the region, situated just a short distance from Fort Lauderdale International Airport.

The centre operates with a focus on personalised attention, maintaining small groups to ensure every diver receives proper guidance. They are a multi-agency training facility, holding affiliations with PADI, SSI, SDI, and AVELO, which allows them to cater to a wide range of certification requirements.

Beyond standard recreational training, the team is highly specialised. They are an official Avelo centre, offering training and dives using the Avelo diving system. Their commitment to the environment is practical; they integrate marine debris cleaning into their excursions and support the SSI Blue Oceans movement.

The training programme is extensive, covering everything from initial Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses to professional levels such as Divemaster. They offer a variety of specialty certifications including Nitrox, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, and Drift Diver.

For those looking to refine specific skills, courses in Drysuit Diving, Full Face Mask diving, and Navigation are available. The centre also provides technical and safety training, such as Emergency Oxygen Provider, Search & Recovery, and AVELO RAD Certification.

For those travelling without their own kit, a full range of rental equipment is available, including BCDs, wetsuits, masks, fins, snorkels, regulators, and dive computers.

Cylinder options include 80 cubic foot aluminium cylinders and 100 cubic foot steel cylinders, with both air and Nitrox available. The centre also provides on-site Nitrox services for divers looking to extend their bottom time.

The reefs are home to a variety of marine life, with sea turtles and a wide array of colourful fish being common sights. The moderate currents often lead to active feeding amongst the reef structures.

In the more sheltered areas and along the reef flats, you will find a diverse range of marine life. The local ecosystems support a healthy population of various fish species that thrive in the warm South Florida waters.

Drift diving is a very common experience in South Florida, where divers can often enjoy the movement of the current while observing the reef.

Water temperatures typically range between 21°C and 29°C throughout the year, making the area accessible in all seasons.
