The neighbourhood is walkable enough for everyday supplies and meals. Brass Captain is about a quarter of a mile away, Frabotta's Italian Kitchen around 0.3 miles, and Kava Shack roughly 0.4 miles. Bula on the Beach is about 0.7 miles away, with Kelly's Irish Bar around 1.5 miles if you fancy going farther for a drink.

John's Pass is about 2 miles away, giving you a nearby boardwalk and waterside outing. Other beaches sit along the coast, including North Redington Beach at about 1.9 miles and Treasure Island at the same rounded distance.

There is one apartment to choose from, and its main advantage is space rather than hotel-style ceremony. The beach is the obvious answer, with direct access and a private beach area attached to the property. If the sand has had enough of you for one day, there is an outdoor swimming pool and a hot tub. Tennis is also available on site, which is a reasonable way to stretch the legs without signing up for a full expedition.

The waterfront common areas add a slower option. You can walk along the docks, sit by the fishing piers or use the picnic tables, with boats and the water providing the scenery. Outdoor furniture, a patio and the covered lanai give you several places to settle with a book, a drink or the sort of conversation that improves when nobody is checking the time.

For a change of scene, Madeira Beach Causeway Park is about 200 feet away and John's Pass is around 2 miles from the apartment. Boating opportunities are available in the surrounding area, while board games and puzzles cover the less ambitious evenings. The pool, hot tub and beach do the heavy lifting; the rest is up to you.

St Pete-Clearwater International Airport is about 13 miles away, with Tampa International Airport around 24 miles. Free public parking is available on site and does not require a reservation. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, which is useful for checking plans, keeping in touch or downloading something to watch when the weather has other ideas.

Check-in runs from 15:00 to 23:00, and you need to give the property your expected arrival time in advance. Check-out is available at any time. Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required, with the property providing the instructions after booking.

Children of any age are welcome, but cots and extra beds are not available, so the existing sleeping arrangement matters when you plan the room.
