Native Diving Lanzarote

Native Diving Lanzarote is a 5-star PADI and SSI dive centre situated directly on the shores of Playa del Jablillo in Costa Teguise. Since opening in 1999, the centre has become a staple for divers looking to explore the unique volcanic topography of the island.

The local waters offer a diverse range of environments, from the sheltered bay at the centre's doorstep to the more challenging volcanic landscapes of the eastern coast. Whether you are looking for easy shore dives or more technical wreck penetrations, the area provides a vast playground for all experience levels.

The team consists of certified, multilingual instructors capable of conducting training in English, Spanish, German, Dutch, and French. This ensures that technical instructions and safety briefings are clearly understood, regardless of your native language.

The centre focuses on small group sizes to maintain a high level of personal attention and safety. They offer a comprehensive curriculum that includes specialised training such as Search and Recovery, Orientation, and Stress & Rescue, alongside standard certification paths.

The training programme covers the entire spectrum of scuba diving, from Try Scuba and Scuba Diver for beginners to professional levels such as Divemaster. They offer both PADI and SSI certification paths, including Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, and Adventure Diver.

For those looking to specialise, the centre provides courses in Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, Nitrox, and Buoyancy control. They also run EFR (Emergency First Response) training and specialised modules like Underwater Orientation and Search and Recovery.

The volcanic reefs and rocky walls are home to a diverse array of life, including groupers, moray eels, and various species of rays. You will often see barracuda, trevallies, and goatfish patrolling the water column, while angel sharks and electric rays can be found resting on the seabed.

Macro life is abundant throughout the area, with many divers spotting nudibranchs, octopus, and various species of shrimp, including narwal shrimp and cleaner shrimp. Scorpionfish and various species of anemones provide excellent camouflage for smaller inhabitants.

The seabed is beautifully decorated with sponges, gorgonians, and large anemones. You can also find various crustaceans such as spider crabs and many species of small fish like alfonsitos and salema porgy.

The diving environment in Lanzarote is characterised by relatively calm conditions with no strong currents reported. Visibility is typically good, ranging between 20 and 30 metres.

While the area is accessible year-round, the underwater environment can vary from the protected, tranquil waters of the Costa Teguise bay to the more exposed volcanic sites on the eastern coast.
