The marine life at Lanzarote is incredibly diverse, particularly around the rocky walls and reef structures. You will regularly encounter large schools of fish, including sardines, salema porgy, amberjack, tuna, and jack mackerels. Larger pelagics such as barracuda and various rays are also frequently sighted in the open water.

The rocky habitats and caves are home to many interesting species, including moray eels, octopus, and various types of wrasse. On the walls, you can find many different types of anemones and various nudibranchs.

Macro life is abundant in the smaller crevices and sandy areas. Divers can search for narwal shrimp and various species of orange coral. During the winter, there are also opportunities to see the angelshark.

The diving environment is characterised by volcanic landscapes that can include caves, arches, and tunnels. While many sites are accessible from the shore, others may require boat access depending on the swell and local conditions.
