Situated in the heart of Vila de Sagres, PuraVida Divehouse operates as a dedicated dive hostel and training centre. It is a family-run establishment, now in its fourth generation, that has transitioned into a specialised hub for the local diving community.

The centre is positioned to take full advantage of the Sagres coastline, an area renowned for its Atlantic swell, deep walls, and diverse underwater topography. Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or pursuing professional modules, the setup is designed for an immersive diving lifestyle.

The team at PuraVida Divehouse focuses on small group instruction to ensure a personalised pace for every diver. They are an SSI affiliated centre, though they can facilitate PADI certifications upon request. Instruction is provided in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Beyond recreational diving, the centre is deeply committed to ocean conservation. They offer specialised ecological courses to help divers understand the marine environments they explore. For younger divers, they organise specific camps with 24/7 supervision to ensure a safe and educational environment.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the full spectrum of SSI certifications. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba or Scuba Diver, progressing through Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver.

For those looking to refine their skills or move into professional territory, the centre offers specialty courses such as Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, Navigation, and Night Diving and Limited Visibility. They also provide advanced training for those pursuing Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, or Open Water Instructor levels.

Specialised training is also available in freediving, ranging from Basic Freediver to SSI Advanced Freediver, alongside a variety of marine ecology workshops including Fish Identification and Marine Mammal Ecology.

The centre provides full equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit. This includes regulators, wetsuits, fins, and torches for night diving sessions.

On-site facilities include a Nitrox station, allowing divers to extend their bottom times on multi-dive days. The centre also offers a communal kitchen and self-service areas for guests staying at the DiveHouse.
