Dive Punta Cana

Located in the Bávaro area of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Dive Punta Cana is a dedicated training school for divers of all levels. The centre focuses on delivering high-quality instruction with a strong emphasis on safety and professional standards.

Beyond standard certification, the centre is deeply involved in the local ecosystem. Since 2014, they have been active in coral restoration, working to protect and grow coral gardens within the local reef systems.

The team is led by Jennifer Vitali, a PADI/SSI Master Instructor who has certified over 10,000 students globally. Her extensive experience brings a high level of expertise to the school's training programmes.

In addition to standard training, the centre is a specialist in coral restoration. This expertise allows them to provide unique insights into reef conservation for those interested in the environmental side of diving.

The school offers a comprehensive range of PADI and SSI courses. You can begin your journey with the Open Water Diver course or progress through the Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver certifications.

For those looking to enter the professional ranks, Divemaster training is available. The centre also offers specialised training in Coral Restoration for divers interested in marine conservation.

The centre provides full kit hire for divers, including regulators, fins, masks, and wetsuits. For those looking to extend their bottom time, Nitrox is available on site.

For night diving, torches are available for rent to ensure you are prepared for low-light exploration.

The local reefs are home to a diverse array of reef fish, including parrotfish (Calotomus), sergeant majors, and various species of snapper (Lutjanidae). You will also see various blennies, combtooth blenny (Blenniidae), and various colorful fish throughout the area.

In the sandy areas and around the reef, look for spotted rays, Jamaican rays (Batoidea), and various species of ray (Batoidea). You may also encounter octopus (Octopus vulgaris), moray eels (Muraenidae), and various crabs (Brachyura) or spider crabs.

For those interested in macro life, keep an eye out for nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), lettuce sea slugs, seahorses (Hippocampus), and various species of boxfish or juvenile boxfish. Garden eels (Gorgasia) can also be found in suitable habitats.
