Dressel Divers Bavaro

The local reefs are home to a variety of colourful fish and reef fish, including parrotfish (Calotomus), sergeant majors, and snapper (Lutjanus). You will often see grunts, bar jacks, and various blennies darting amongst the corals.

In the sandy areas and around the reef structure, keep an eye out for spotted rays, Jamaican rays, and octopus (Octopus vulgaris). You may also encounter sea turtles (Cheloniidae), reef sharks (Carcharhinus), and moray eels (Muraenidae) patrolling the edges of the reef.

The macro life is diverse, featuring nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), and various species of crabs (Brachyura) and spider crabs. Small inhabitants like garden eels (Gorgasia), juvenile boxfish, and combtooth blenny (Blenniidae) add detail to the seabed.
