Centre Nautique Bleu Outremer

Centre Nautique Bleu Outremer is situated on the Bas du Fort beach in Gosier, Guadeloupe. The centre is conveniently positioned within the Fleur d'Epée and La Créole Beach hotels, providing easy access to the water for guests and visiting divers alike.

The local diving scene offers an incredible variety of environments, ranging from shallow reef flats to steep walls, deep canyons, and interesting wrecks. With sites located just a ten-minute boat ride away, you can spend more time underwater exploring the rich marine biodiversity of the region.

The team consists of two instructors providing professional guidance for both training and exploration dives. The centre operates with a focus on personalised service, ensuring that whether you are a beginner or an experienced diver, the instruction is tailored to your specific needs.

Training is available through multiple major organisations, including PADI, FFESSM, CMAS, ANMP/CEDIP, and more. This allows divers to follow either international or local French certification paths depending on their preference.

A comprehensive range of training is available, covering everything from the PADI Discover Scuba Diver and PADI Scuba Diver programmes to full Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. For those following the French system, courses include ANMP/CEDIP and FFESSM/CMAS levels from Niveau 1 through to Niveau 3.

Specialised training is also offered, such as RIFAP first aid courses and various advanced modules like PA12, PA20, and PA40. Junior programmes are also available for younger divers, including PADI Open Water Diver Junior and Advanced Diver Junior.

The centre provides full kit hire for those who do not wish to carry their own equipment. This includes everything required for a complete dive, such as regulators, BCDs, and wetsuits.

For those beginning their journey, the centre offers pool initiation sessions at the Fleur d'Epée hotel to prepare you for your first open water experiences.

The reefs are teeming with life, including various species of Angelfish (Pomacanthidae), Parrotfish (Calotomus), and colourful reef fish. You will frequently encounter Damselfish (Pomacentridae), Sergeant majors, and various Triggerfish (Balistidae) amongst the corals.

Larger pelagics and predators are also present, such as Barracuda (Sphyraena), Jacks (Carangidae), and various species of Snappers (Lutjanidae). During certain times of the year, you may have the opportunity to see dolphins during their migration.

In the deeper areas and around wrecks, look for Grouper (Epinephelinae), Moray eel (Muraenidae), and various species of Sea bream (Sparidae). You might also spot Eagle rays, porcupinefish, and large species of Jacks.

Macro life and crustaceans are abundant throughout the sites, including Spiny lobster (Homaridae), various crabs (Brachyura), and many types of crustaceans living within the reef structure. The seabed and ledges are also home to diverse corals and Gorgonian (Gorgonacea) species.

The water remains warm year-round, with average temperatures around 30°C. Divers should plan their travel carefully, as it is advised not to fly on the same day as your final dive.

Night diving is available, though it may incur a supplement depending on the site chosen. Some sites, such as Sec Paté, are more distant and require additional travel time.
