Located in Petit-Bourg, Guadeloupe Evasion Sous-marine offers a specialised alternative to standard scuba diving centres. The centre focuses heavily on the disciplines of freediving (apnée) and spearfishing, providing a platform for those looking to move beyond the heavy equipment of scuba and connect more directly with the underwater environment.

Since its establishment in 2016, the centre has built a reputation for promoting responsible underwater activities. The focus is on technical progression and safety, ensuring that both beginners and experienced practitioners can develop their skills in a controlled and respectful manner.

The centre is operated by Fred, a state-certified instructor (moniteur diplômé d'état) who has been teaching freediving in Guadeloupe since 2016. His approach is rooted in safety and environmental advocacy, particularly regarding responsible spearfishing practices.

Instruction is available in French, and the programme is designed to accommodate a wide range of profiles, from children participating in snorkeling or freediving sessions to adults seeking advanced technical training. The centre offers both group sessions and private one-on-one coaching for those requiring a more tailored curriculum.

The curriculum is primarily focused on breath-hold disciplines and surface swimming. For those interested in freediving, the centre offers Apnée initiation and Apnée perfectionnement, alongside specialised packages such as the Pack découverte consisting of three sessions.

Spearfishing enthusiasts can access both initiation and perfectionnement courses, with private sessions available for half-day or full-day instruction. For those preferring a more relaxed approach, guided snorkeling (randonnée subaquatique) is available for both adults and children.
