Located at the Ponton du Bourg in Les Anses-d'Arlet, Canopée Bleue offers a unique way to experience the marine environment of southern Martinique. The centre operates with a minimal footprint, using an electric-solar powered boat to reach dive sites without direct CO2 emissions.

For those looking to advance their skills, the centre offers various SSI courses ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Beyond scuba diving, they also provide instruction in freediving and snorkelling (randonnée palmée).

The centre operates an electric-solar boat, which allows for quiet, emission-free transit to the dive sites. This motorisation is particularly beneficial for observing marine life without the noise and vibration of a traditional combustion engine.

All activities, including scuba diving, night dives, freediving, and snorkelling, are conducted directly from the boat. Because the centre does not have a shore-based facility, the boat serves as the central hub for all equipment and preparations.

The reefs around Anses-d'Arlet are home to a vibrant array of tropical fish. You can expect to see various species including parrotfish, angelfish (Pomacanthidae), surgeonfish (Acanthuridae), and butterflyfish (Chaetodon). Schools of bigeye trevally (Caranx) and various snapper (Lutjanus) species are also common sights in the water column.

For those interested in larger pelagics, the area supports sightings of rays, including stingrays and leopard rays. You may also encounter porcupinefish and various types of jacks (Carangidae) patrolling the reef.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants provide endless interest for observant divers. Look out for nudibranchs, Christmas tree worms, and various crustaceans such as crabs. The reef architecture is further enriched by sponges and colourful corals that provide habitat for the local fauna.

Specific species like the porcupinefish and the longnose filefish (often referred to locally as the sheephead or boxfish) add character to the reef flats and walls. You may also spot the colourful longnose filefish amongst the reef structure.
