Plongée Madiana Blue Plaisir

Madiana Blue Plaisir is situated in Le Diamant, Martinique, offering direct access to some of the most striking marine landscapes in the Caribbean. The centre operates from Port de La Cherry, placing you within 15 to 20 minutes of the primary dive sites.

The focus here is on a relaxed, convivial atmosphere where the priority is the enjoyment of the underwater environment. With year-round access to warm, clear waters, it serves as a reliable base for both local divers and those visiting the island for the first time.

The centre is managed by a dedicated team including Agnès, who co-manages operations and serves as the pilot, and Yves, a DEJEPS E4 instructor, SSI instructor, and CCR diver. Their experience spans various coastal environments, including Brittany, Corsica, and Guadeloupe, bringing a professional depth to the local instruction.

As an eco-responsible centre, the team is committed to the protection of the local marine environment. The instruction is provided in French, catering to those looking for a local, authentic experience in Martinique.

The centre offers a comprehensive range of training through both FFESSM and SSI affiliations. Beginners can start with a Discovery Dive (Baptême) or move through the standard progression from Niveau 1 to Niveau 4, as well as SSI courses including Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, and Rescue.

For those looking to specialise, Nitrox courses are available, covering both Elementary and Confirmed levels. The centre also supports technical progression with various professional and advanced certifications.

The centre operates a single boat named YVANESS, a custom-built vessel powered by a 300hp Yamaha engine. Designed with diver comfort in mind, the boat can accommodate up to 12 participants per trip.

Reaching the dive sites takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. For those on double dive itineraries, tea or coffee is provided on board to recharge between descents.

Full equipment hire is available on-site, with the centre partnering with Cressi to ensure divers have access to modern, reliable kit. This includes everything required for a complete dive, with specific adaptations available for children.

Nitrox is available for divers wishing to extend their bottom time. If you require a Nitrox cylinder (less than 40%), please notify the centre at least 3 days before your booking.

The reefs around the Rocher du Diamant are vibrant, characterised by colourful corals and large barrel sponges. You will frequently encounter schools of trevallies, large barracuda, and various tropical fish darting through the reef structure.

Larger pelagics and resident species include rays, nurse sharks, and dolphins. Turtles are a regular sight, particularly when visiting the plateau areas.

For those interested in macro life and crustaceans, the crevices and reef flats host spiny lobsters and various other reef inhabitants. The biodiversity is supported by a healthy ecosystem of corals and sponges that provide habitat for a wide array of marine life.

The diving environment is characterised by warm, stable conditions throughout the year. The local waters maintain a consistent temperature around 28°C, making it an ideal destination for year-round exploration.

Site accessibility is high, with most major locations being a short boat ride from Le Diamant, though divers should always be mindful of local conditions once on the water.
