Plongee Passion Martinique

Located in the coastal village of Anses d'Arlet, Plongée Passion serves as a central hub for diving in Martinique. The centre operates seven days a week, offering two daily departures at 9:00 and 13:30 to accommodate different schedules.

The centre is professionally affiliated with FFESSM, ANMP, and SSI, ensuring a wide range of recognised training standards. Whether you are looking for a single exploration dive or a multi-day training programme, the facility is set up to handle both recreational and professional divers.

The team is composed of qualified, certified instructors who prioritise safety and professional standards. They manage everything from introductory baptisms to advanced technical and professional training.

Beyond recreational diving, the centre is a specialised training facility for maritime professions. They offer commercial diver training (Scaphandrier Classe A and B) in partnership with CAP Trebeurden, as well as professional instructor pathways through the DEJEPS and BPJEPS programmes in partnership with CREPS Antilles Guyane.

The centre offers an extensive catalogue of courses through SSI and FFESSM frameworks. Beginners can start with the Basic Diver, Scuba Diver, or Open Water Diver courses. For those looking to progress, they offer Deep Diver, Diver Stress & Rescue, and specialized skills updates like Perfect Buoyancy.

Advanced divers can pursue higher levels through the French system, including Niveau 1 (PE20), Niveau 2 (PA20 and PE40), and Niveau 3 (PA40 and PE/PA60). The centre also provides professional certifications for those entering the industry, including Scaphandrier Classe A and B, as well as instructor-level training.

A full range of diving equipment is available for hire on-site, allowing you to travel light if you prefer. This includes complete kit sets for those who do not wish to bring their own regulators, BCDs, or exposure suits.

For those looking to extend their experience, the centre also provides night dive equipment. Refreshments are provided on board during the trips to keep you comfortable between dives.

The reef ecosystems around Anses d'Arlet are vibrant, featuring diverse corals, sponges, and anemones. You will find plenty of colourful reef fish, including various species of angelfish (Pomacanthidae), butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and surgeonfish (Acanthuridae).

In the open water and around the structures, you can encounter larger pelagics and predators. Look out for barracudas, wahoos, Spanish mackerel (Scomberomorus), and bigeye trevally (Caranx). Schools of jack (Carangidae) and crevalle jack are also common sights.

Macro life and crustaceans are abundant throughout the sites. You can spot various species of lobster (Homaridae), spiny lobster (Palinuridae), and crabs tucked into the reef. Moray eels (Muraenidae) and several types of rays, including stingrays and leopard rays, frequent the sandy patches and ledges.

Sea turtles are a regular presence in these waters, with both Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) and Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) being observed by divers.

The centre offers weekly night dives, providing a different perspective on the local marine life. Some sites, such as the Rocher du Diamant, may require specific navigation or experience due to the volcanic terrain.
