Bouba Diving is situated on the south-east coast of Rodrigues, positioned directly at the foot of Mourouk beach. This location provides immediate access to the island's vast lagoon, which is recognised as one of the largest and most well-preserved marine environments in the Indian Ocean.

The lagoon is home to a diverse array of marine life, including various species of fish such as Parrotfish (Calotomus), Fusilier (Caesio), and several types of Rays (Batoidea). You can often spot schools of trevallies and bonitos moving through the water, alongside larger predators like Great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda) and Dogtooth tuna (Gymnosarda unicolor).

In the sandy areas and around the reef, keep an eye out for Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) and giant moray eels. You may also encounter Southern stingray (Hypanus americanus) and various other species of turtles patrolling the seabed.

For those interested in smaller, more detailed life, the area hosts Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani) and various leaf fish. Spiny lobster (Palinuridae) can also be found amongst the reef structures, adding to the biodiversity of the lagoon.
