You are looking at a sizeable design hotel by the sea, with 248 rooms spread across six floors and enough going on to keep a non-diving companion occupied. The setting is practical rather than theatrical: pine forest outside, Rovinj close by, and the sea just a short walk away.

English is spoken by the hotel team, alongside German, Italian and Croatian. That matters when you are discussing a late meal, a transfer or the small question of where to leave wet clothes without resorting to international hand signals.

The hotel stands in Rovinj, Croatia, at Luje Adamovića 31, on the edge of the sea and beside forest. The water is about 0.03 miles away, while the centre of Rovinj is roughly 0.9 miles from the door. That is close enough for an evening walk, but far enough to give the hotel its own setting rather than dropping you straight into the town traffic.

Lone Bay, Mulini Beach and Skaraba Beach are all within reach on foot. The nearby beaches combine sand and pebbles, with sun loungers, parasols, showers, changing facilities and a beach bar. You can also use the coastline as the simplest post-dive plan: walk, swim, sit down, repeat.

The choice is broad enough to match different sorts of trips. For a couple, a double room keeps things straightforward; twin rooms suit two divers who have agreed that sharing a bed is not part of the holiday. Families can look at the interconnecting quadruple room or one of the larger suites, while accessible room options are available in both double and twin layouts.

The Deluxe Plunge Pool rooms are the obvious choice if having a private pool matters more than extra hotel facilities. The Bay, Gallery and Garden suites move the stay into a more spacious, suite-based format, with the Bay Suite offering the most room for a slower evening indoors. The Golden Cape Quadruple Suite is aimed at a group of four rather than a romantic escape.

There are three named bars. Lobby Bar handles cocktails, drinks, small sandwiches, burgers, salads and desserts; Conference Bar opens during events and works around a tailored menu with champagnes; Lone Night Club is a multi-purpose evening venue with cocktails and modern equipment. Room service runs around the clock.

The pool area gives you a choice between an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, with sunbathing terraces around the latter blending into the surrounding pine landscape. Beach and pool towels are available, so you do not need to sacrifice the room towel to the afternoon swim. A jacuzzi adds another option when lying still has become an active preference.

Lone Wellness & Spa covers 1,700 square metres, with therapeutic massages, facials, body wraps, a steam bath, sauna and jacuzzi. Treatments use the TRAWENMOOR and ESENSA MEDITERANA brands. The gym has training equipment, while yoga, Pilates, tennis, cycling, walking and table tennis give you ways to move without pretending every holiday hour needs a timetable.

Rovinj is about 25 miles from the airport. An airport transfer and shuttle service are available through the hotel, and car hire can be arranged.
