Volare Sub is situated in Tarifa, positioned at the gateway to the Strait of Gibraltar. This location offers immediate access to the natural park reserve, where the confluence of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic creates a unique and highly productive marine environment.

The team at Volare Sub brings over three decades of diving experience to the table. They are affiliated with PADI, SSI, and ACUC, ensuring that training and excursions meet international standards across multiple certifying bodies.

Instruction is available in both Spanish and English, making the centre accessible to a wide range of divers. The staff prioritises safety and environmental stewardship, integrating scientific research into the local diving culture.

Volare Sub offers a complete curriculum of training, starting with the PADI and SSI Open Water Diver courses. As you progress, you can specialise with the Advanced Open Water Diver, Deep Diver, and Wreck Diver courses.

For those moving into technical territory, the centre provides training for Dry Suit Diving, Cavern Diver, and full Technical Diving programmes. They also support professional progression with Instructor training courses.

The centre provides full equipment hire for divers who prefer not to travel with their own kit. This includes regulators, wetsuits, fins, and masks, ensuring you have everything required for your dives in the Strait.

For technical divers, the facility is well-equipped with Nitrox and Trimix capabilities. The centre also supports rebreather diving, catering to those looking to extend their bottom times or explore more advanced profiles.

The waters around Tarifa are home to a diverse array of large pelagics and interesting residents. You may encounter eagle rays, sea turtles, and groupers patrolling the reefs, alongside ocean sunfish passing through the strait.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants add significant interest to the dives, with seahorses and various species of scorpionfish often found amongst the structures. Look closely to find escórpora and various anemones tucked into the crevices.

The seabed is characterised by healthy coral formations and the presence of Alicia mirabilis anemones. These fixed life elements provide the essential architecture for the local ecosystem.
