Pearl Dimaniyat Diving Center

Located at the Seeb Marina, Pearl Dimaniyat Diving Center serves as a gateway to Oman's first marine reserve. The centre focuses on the Dimaniyat Islands, an archipelago of nine islands that host some of the most significant coral reef systems and drop-offs in the region.

The area is defined by its diverse topography, ranging from shallow reef flats to deeper walls. This variety allows for a wide range of diving, from relaxed reef explorations to more advanced drift dives along the archipelago's edges.

The centre is PADI affiliated and brings ten years of industry experience to the Seeb Marina. The team is experienced in managing diverse groups, from first-time snorkelers to professional-level divers.

Communication is made easy for international visitors, as the staff speaks English, German, Arabic, Italian, Urdu, and Hindi. This multilingual approach ensures that safety briefings and technical instruction are clearly understood by all divers.

The centre offers a full range of PADI training programmes. You can begin with a Try Dive or progress through the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

For those looking to move into professional diving, the centre provides Rescue Diver, Emergency First Responder, and Divemaster courses, following international standards.

The centre operates the Shaheen series of fast motorboats, including Shaheen 11, 13, and 14. These vessels are equipped with twin powerful engines to ensure efficient transit to the islands.

Each boat can accommodate up to 25 people. On board, you will find essential amenities including toilets, a freshwater shower, and safety equipment such as life jackets, an oxygen kit, and a first aid kit. For longer trips, the boats provide snacks, sandwiches, fresh juices, and fruit.

Full equipment hire is available on-site for those not travelling with their own kit. This includes all the necessary components for a complete dive setup.

Safety is a priority, with oxygen kits and first aid equipment maintained on the boats and at the centre. The centre also operates with an environmental focus, avoiding single-use cups and conducting waste collection during dives to protect the marine reserve.

The reefs are home to a vibrant array of life, including various species of tropical fish and healthy coral formations. You will regularly encounter sea turtles and rays patrolling the reef flats and sandy areas.

Pelagic life is a significant draw for the area, with sightings of sharks and other large fish common. Specifically, blacktip sharks and leopard sharks are known to frequent these waters, alongside various species of rays.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants add detail to the reef, including octopus and moray eels tucked into the crevices. The biodiversity of the Dimaniyat Islands ensures a constant variety of life for those exploring the walls and swim-throughs.

Diving in this region is characterised by visibility that typically ranges between 5 and 25 metres. The archipelago's status as a marine reserve helps maintain the health of the coral ecosystems found here.
